Brand films, case studies, and campaign content produced across Chicago, Columbus, Auburn, and the Bahamas. Featuring the Mr. Chaos brand film that launched BlueStar's automated robot delivery platform.
When BlueStar launched their automated robot delivery system, they needed a brand film that could introduce the platform with the personality and energy their channel partners expect. The concept: a character-driven narrative starring John Martin, BlueStar's Senior Content Marketing Manager, as the product's irreverent alter ego.
Two shoot days, fully-produced. Cinematic lighting and camera work. The end result was a brand film that led the platform launch and became a centerpiece of BlueStar's marketing rollout. BlueStar features it on their company homepage to this day.
Fun fact: "Chaos" is pronounced "SHOWCE" (like a French chef announcing his plating). The pronunciation is canon.
BlueStar is one of North America's largest distributors of point-of-sale, ID card, barcode, and RFID technology. Our engagement began with a single brand film project and grew into a multi-year partnership producing campaign content, case studies, and flagship brand films across multiple states.
Working directly with James Korte, BlueStar's Marketing & Design Director, we've built a production rhythm that matches BlueStar's content pace. Multi-day shoots for major campaigns. Fast-turn case studies filmed on location at customer sites. Full-production brand work that supports major product launches.
The common thread across every project: cinema-grade quality, tight timelines, and production that respects BlueStar's in-house creative direction.
BlueStar coordinates customer success case studies for the brands that use Zebra Technologies hardware. Zebra funds the production. BlueStar runs point on logistics. The customer brand becomes the subject of the film and gets a marketing asset they can use anywhere. We produced this series across three states, each one built around a real deployment with on-camera interviews, facility tours, and product-in-action footage.
Case study film for FoodTrak, captured at North America's largest convention center during a Zebra Technologies industry expo. FoodTrak now hosts the video on their own website.
Case study film for Toledo POS, shot on-location at Yutzy's Farm Market, a Toledo POS customer using the system across their farm and food operations. Toledo POS uses this as the primary brand video on their homepage.
RFID-focused case study film for TRG Solutions, captured at Auburn Labs, a manufacturing and research facility that gave us location access for the production. Showcases TRG's RFID work alongside Zebra hardware and WiseSense.
VARTECH is BlueStar's annual flagship conference, drawing thousands of channel partners from across North America. For the event's opening film, we produced a cinematic narrative piece with an Indiana Jones-inspired spoof structure, filmed on location in the Bahamas.
The production included extensive aerial drone work, narrative direction across multiple locations, and post-production turnaround tight enough to hit the conference's opening keynote. The film opened the event and became shareable marketing content through the rest of the year.
Production scope: Multi-day Bahamas shoot · Full narrative production · Aerial drone cinematography · Cinematic color grading · Post-production delivery to conference opening
Max was fully engaged, prompt, and enthusiastic. He shows up early and stays late to get the shot. His work is distinct. Modern, crisp, tonally appropriate to the moment, whether that's a formal customer case study or our VARTECH opener. He understands our brand and produces to our standard without needing to be managed.
